A leather traveller's trunk with iron strapping and decorative brass rivets having the original manufacturing label inside the lid for "Jas. Smith, Brantford, Canada West". Smith manufactured horse harnesses, saddles, and leather trunks on Colborne Street in Brantford. Ontario, 3rd quarter, 19th century.

The tooled leather is in good condition as is the inside of box. The leather straps and lock hasp are missing.
