Canadian. 1939-1945. Poster was made by Canadian artist Philip Surrey, but was also used throughout the U.S. involvement in WWII. The poster made the point that any working person could help the war effort even if they weren't holding a gun. The image depicts strength and harmony. Signed, with artist signature "Surrey", at top left. Marked, "Issued By The Director of Public Information, Under Authority of Hon. J.T. Thorson, Minister of National War Services, Ottawa" and "Printed in Canada", at lower edge. Marked, "UE 3S", at lower right.
Condition
Very good to excellent condition and canvas backed. Minor yellowing.
