Description
Napanee, Ontario. Late 1850s to early 1860s. John Grange established his small drug store in Napanee in 1851 however success quickly drove his expansion. In directories from 1857/58 and 1864/65, Grange was listed not only a chemist/druggist but also offered paints, oils, books and stationery and much more. This jug is in pristine condition with a bold flower, made at Picton pottery (Hart or Skinner). Stamped, "John Grange & Co / Druggists & C, / Napanee. C.W. / 1".
