Description
Paris, Ontario. 1859-1868. John Mills Marlatt established his pottery business in Paris beginning in 1859 and operated it until his death in January 1868. This is a scarce and lovely example with a great floral decoration. Stamped, "J,M, Marlatt & Co / Paris, CW". Capacity mark "3" in cobalt script.
Condition
Two shallow 3/4" flakes inside rim. 3/4" chip on the base edge at the back. An in-manufacture flaw (dent) on the right side at the base.

Salt-glazed stoneware.
