Description
Brantford, Ontario. 1857-1859. James Woodyatt was the third owner of the storied Brantford Pottery, and only for a brief two years. This is a solid and clean jug with a great cobalt flower. Stamped, "J. Woodyatt & Co / Brantford C.W. / 2".
Condition
Two 1" in-manufacture cracks front left at base. Minor fry in the cobalt in upper portion of the flower, tiny glaze chip in the centre.
