Description
Brantford, Ontario. 1859-1867. Franklin Goold and Charles Waterous owned the Brantford Pottery together from 1859 to 1867. As neither one had any experience in making pottery they employed several skilled potters to manufacture their wares. This is a nice open crock in a great compact size with a perfect example of their signature flower. Stamped, "F.P. Goold & Co / Brantford. C.W. / 2".
Condition
A patch of light spalling at the right side near the bottom and extending towards the back. Patches of interior glaze flakes.

Salt-glazed stoneware.
