Description
For Chevrolet, 1936 was an important year for truck design. It was the first year for the redesigned 'clear vision' instrument panel and the redesigned 'low curved corner'. Stamped, "6EB07 / 9487", on Chevrolet VIN on firewall.
Condition
This is a remarkable untouched, completely original pre-war survivor truck driven only 17,056 actual miles since new. Original 'leather-type' upholstery, original apple green/black paint, and original six-cylinder valve-in-head 206.8 C.I. engine. The chrome is excellent and free from pitting. The original Goodrich Silvertown tires were removed but kept, and tell the story of the truck's astonishing condition. The cargo bed retains the original hardwood planks. The truck has been stored in a climate-controlled environment for over a decade but requires a full mechanical service. The engine runs, but the original radiator requires service. The hydraulic brakes also require service. This is unquestionably one of the finest surviving 1936 Chevrolet 1/2-ton pickups in existence.
