Canadian. C. 1914. The S.S. Pelee was built for Pelee Island trade purposes. The Collingwood Shipbuilding Company was commissioned by the Pelee Island Steamship Co. of Amherstburg to build a reliable freight and passenger steamer. This plate would have been on the S.S. Pelee to show who the builder was.
