From 1900-1940, several major manufacturers of farm machinery, including Massey-Harris, commissioned famous calendar artists to compose their advertising calendars, often showing their implements in detailed scenes. The calendars are highly collectible not only for their Massey-Harris name but also for their artwork . Artwork signed "Thomas .W. Mitchell" at lower left corner of drawing. Titled "Logging in Canada".
