West German. 1950s. Toys are marked "U.S.-Zone Germany". Post-war German manufacturers were banned from exporting goods. Americans occupying the territories permitted the sale and export of toys so long as they were marked "Made in U.S. Zone Germany". This marking was used from the mid to late 1940s with underside stock often continuing into the 1950s. Marked, "Schuco", on fronts, sides, tires, and underside of bikes. Marked, "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany", on undersides.

Both in overall excellent condition. Both tested and working. One original key is included. Rider number 4 has significant scuffs and paint wear near boots, wheels, and arms and nicks on front fender. Rider number 6 has scuffs near boots and arms, and oxidation and wear on underside. There is oxidation to the gas tank and requires chrome moulding strip on rear fender.
