German. 1940s. Toy is marked "U.S.-Zone Germany". Post-war German manufacturers were banned from exporting goods. Americans occupying the territories permitted the sale and export of toys so long as they were marked "Made in U.S. Zone Germany". This marking was used from the mid to late 1940s. Marked on box, sides of bike, wheels, and underside. Marked, "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany", on underside.

Excellent condition overall. Tested and working. Pinpoint areas of wear on sides of arms. Small nick on side of helmet. Original box in good condition with some detached flaps and staining.
