German. 1940s. Toy is marked "U.S.-Zone Germany". Post-war German manufacturers were banned from exporting goods. Americans occupying the territories permitted the sale and export of toys so long as they were marked "Made in U.S. Zone Germany". This marking was used from the mid to late 1940s. Marked on front and sides of bike, wheels, and underside of bike. Marked, "Made in U.S. Zone Germany", on underside.
Condition
Excellent condition. Some nicks on arms and hands. Slight scuffing under boots and seam of back of bike. Tested and working.
