Ontario. C. 1950. The decoys are both "working" decoys. They are a very unusual and pleasing folk art form, especially the heads. These were originally found in a small rig of decoys, including Buffleheads, all by the same maker (unknown for these pieces).
Condition
Hen: Some original paint with old hunter's over paint on the lower part of the body and neck. Structurally the condition is fair with significant neck cracks and body seam and head seam separation. Neck has a repair. Drake: Original paint with some paint loss and wear from hunting use. Three piece body with minor body seam separation otherwise structurally good. Eye is painted.
