The foreground with a man bringing home a freshly cut Christmas tree in a horse-drawn sled. Together with a copy of the Norman Mackenzie Art Gallery retrospective catalog of Wyers work. This work has been noted on page 96 of "Jan Gerrit Wyers 1888 - 1973 / Mackenzie Art Gallery." Signed JG Wyers Dec 1966" on lower left front. Museum exhibition label "Jan Gerrit Wyers, untitled farmstead in winter, 1966" on back of painting.
