Baie-Saint-Paul, Charlevoix, Quebec. Mid-20th century. A classic piece by Edith Bouchard of a farmhouse in winter painted on a maple leaf shaped board. The youngest sister of the famous Bouchard family she created many smaller pieces for the family shop including jewelry, carved and painted fish as brooches and earrings and her specialty - carved maple leaves with painted Charlevoix scenes. Mounted within a gold painted frame and stained wood background. Signed "Edith Bouchard" lower left section of maple leaf.

Good condition with minor paint loss to frame.
