Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec. C. 1940. This is a beautifully carved head of Christ wearing the Crown of Thorns, within a recessed oval. Attributed to Medard Bourgault (1897-1967), the eldest of the three Bourgault brothers from Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec. Unsigned.
