Description
Cacouna, Quebec. C. 1990. Levesque, an artist from Cacaouna, Quebec, created painted carvings of birds, animals and people in everyday situations. His style was considered primitive. This pair of comical/ferocious female pigs is unsigned, as was most of his work, yet easily recognizable as the work of Felicien Levesque. His work is honest, direct, very powerful and often exaggerated as illustrated in this pair of dappled grey horses.
