Description
British Columbia. C. 1990. Dramatically carved and painted Thunderbird Totem Pole by Gary Rice who is a very well-known Kwakiutl (Salish, B.C.) carver of totem poles, masks and other traditional crafts. Adhered to the bottom and one wing are typed notes explaining the symbols and their meanings. "Gary Rice" carved on lower rear of totem pole.
