Description
A fine example of a marquetry jewelry box with a black Maltese cross inset on the light coloured top as well as stars, squares and tumbling block motifs. The satin lined interior has a hand carved frame around the mirror marked "souvenir" while the upper tray has a scalloped edge border. Quebec, late 19th century.
