Description
An early and superbly carved crooked knife with the maple handle terminating in a double fiddlehead and having a carved heart thumb grip. Additional chip carved motifs include foliage, triangles and fine zig-zags. The blade is affixed with brass wire and the handle has a deep hand-worn patina. Nova Scotia, circa 1875.
