Valleyfield, Quebec. C. 1990. A fine Rene Dandurand carving of a trotting grey horse and man in a two-wheeled jet-black buckboard. The jaunty driver is painted in black, white, grey and brown. Typical of Dandurand’s work, most elements are carved from a single piece of wood. His creations were always painted by his wife and partner Julienne - an excellent colourist. Signed, "Dandurand", on back of buckboard.
