Description
Quebec. 1870s-1890s. Two fine redware pieces with desirable coggled rims and dark brown spatter glaze attributed to the Dion Pottery of Ancienne Lorette, Quebec.
Condition
Two chips, one of which is on the underside of the rim, can be seen in the bowl. Very fine glaze crackling and wear in the base of the bowl are consistent with age and use. The dish exhibits three cracks, one of which includes a chip, that extends from the rim to the base. One of the cracks extends a further inch across the underside of the base.
