Description
Quebec and Ontario. 1880s-1890s. A pair of similar redware baking dishes. The form of the larger one with a fabulous mottled glaze is consistent with Dion Pottery, Ancienne Lorette, Quebec. The smaller dish is attributed to Ontario and has a wonderful brown spatter glaze over a salmon-coloured base glaze.
Condition
A couple of chips approximately 3/4" in length can be seen on the underside of the rim on the smaller oval dish.
Medium
Redware.
