Beardmore, Ontario. C. 1980. A naive carving depicting a child dressed in red holding a black teddy bear. Ontario master folk artist Ewald Rentz had a love of finding suggestions of what to carve from the shape of the raw natural form of the wood. This work is no exception. Signed, faintly on base.
