Description
American. 1955. Serial number U5DW204618. Body 64A / Colour WES / Trim AS / Production 11FDP819D. This all-original Dallas-produced 1955 Ford Crown Victoria 'survivor' car boasts 17,331 actual miles. Produced as #204618 on June 11, 1955, this example could be the finest surviving of its kind. The tropical rose / showshoe white paint is vibrant and original. The white / magenta vinyl interior is also original with minor fade. In August, 2023, the car was the recipient of a thorough mechanical overhaul. Due to headgasket failure, the original 8 cylinder 272 CI engine was removed, rebuilt, and re-installed with the assistance of the rebuilder, Adam Kelterborn. The carburetor and radiator were rebuilt, the gas tank flushed, and all related engine components cleaned, restored and re-installed. The engine runs well with 20 inches of vacuum. The brakes, fuel system, electrical system, and exhaust system were fully serviced. The tires and suspension remain in excellent condition. The body underneath is consistent with the mileage: rust-free and clean (photos of undercarriage included). The body panels are also consistent with the low mileage: crisp and straight.
