A Quebec side chair with English influence in the shaped back posts combined with the deep capucine back slats in the French manner and the shaped plank seat with a capucine back edge. All in original light blue paint. There is a small chip on the seat edge. Quebec, c1860.

Chaise québécoise Capucine d'influence anglaise avec les montants galbés du dossier combinés aux 2 voliches du dossier à la capucine de style français et le siège en bois aussi découpé à la capucine à l’arrière. Le tout en peinture bleu clair d'origine. Il y a un petit éclat sur le bord du siège. Québec, vers 1860.
