A pine sculpture of John the Baptist with a lamb cradled in one arm and holding a staff with the other. Carved from a solid block and in polychrome overpaint, mounted on the original tiered blue base. Some paint loss and age cracks, staff replaced. Beauport, Quebec, late 18th century.

Sculpture en pin de Jean-Baptiste avec un agneau serré dans un bras et tenant un bâton dans l'autre. Sculpté dans la masse et repeint polychrome, monté sur le socle bleu étagé d'origine. Quelques pertes de peinture et fissures d'âge, bâton remplacé. Beauport, Québec, fin 18e siècle.
