Description
Three (3). England, Canada. Lamp 1: 1970s. Lamp 2: 1900-1930. Lamp 3: 1860s-1880s. Glass, metal, wood. Lamp 1: CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway) lantern, blue globe, bale handle with wood, original finish. Style commonly referred to as the "bald top" due to the elimination of the ridges around the dome. It was the last style of lantern Adlake/Piper made for general railway service before CP and CN switched to batteries. Lamp 2: LNWR (London & North Western Railway) lantern bracket/hanging lamp, copper, beveled glass front, fluid burner. Lamp 3: Brass Skater's Lantern: brass with tin base, patented December 24th, 1867, chain for hanging. Lamp 1: Marked, "CPR". Lamp 2: Top marked, "LNWR".
Condition
Lamp 1: CPR Lantern: Some areas of oxidation. Lamp 3: Lantern: denting to brass top, soldering to underside of base.
