Description
Canadian. Original casting 1925. Bronze. Suzor-Coté was a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and the Canadian Art Club of Toronto. He was born in Arthabaska, Quebec and studied there under Maxime Rousseau in 1887. He also studied extensively in Paris, France. This is a fine example and not often seen in the marketplace. Cast with 'Suzor-Cote 1925' just below right foot on upper surface. On back it is cast with '4/25 Roman Bronze Works, N.Y.'
Condition
Very good condition with intact patina. Please note this is a contemporary posthumous cast from the original Roman Bronze Works Mould.
