The original GMT-Master, designed in 1954, was a collaboration with Pan Am Airways. The watch was issued to their crews on long-haul flights.In the subsequent years the GMT Master was embraced by other airline pilots as their on-board navigation Chronometer. Easily the most iconic dual timezone watch out there, the GMT features an arrow-tipped second hour hand which indicates alternate time via the 24 hour, graduated bezel. This piece features the original black aluminum GMT bezel as well as the original matte black dial. The dial also has all the original Tritium time stamps that have developed a gorgeous coffee colored patina over the years. 40mm case diameter.
