Swiss. Circa 1971. Stainless steel case on stainless steel oyster band. Serial number: 2,655,505. Clasp stamped "1-71" for 1972. Minor stable paint loss from the extreme lower edge of the dial. Bezel is seized in place. The caseback is engraved with the name of the current owner. In exceptionally original condition including evenly toned lume through the dial, handset and bezel pip. Also retains what appears to be its original crystal. This Submariner was originally awarded as a prize for qualifying as the Canadian sailing participant for the 1972 Olympic games. The trials were held in Kingston, Ontario. A full letter of provenance from the current owner is included with the watch. Gross weight of assembled watch, 98.30 grams. 40mm case diameter.
