Middle Sackville, New Brunswick. Ca: 1800. Pine, with strap hinges. Unpainted small pine blanket box with applied gothic arch trim to the case. Cove moulded base, of early profile. The strap hinges are English, signed "J. Moulineaux". Found On Middle Sackville Rd, this box is attributed to the same maker as the flame birch corner cupboard illustrated in "Heritage" by Scott Symons. (Plate 3). Attribution is based on early mould profiles, use of neo-gothic arches and proximity to Middle Sackville. Good condition. Some modern screws added. 36.25(L) x 12.75(H) x 16(D)".
