Hamilton, Ontario. Ca: 1885. Walnut, with black, green and cream paint. Wire nails. A documented folk art shelf commemorating Canada's famous oarsman, Ned Hanlon. Part of supporting bracket has been replaced. 16(H) x 11(W) x 6.25(D)". Illustrated in Canadian Folk Art to 1950 (Fleming/Rowan, pp.462,473). $1500/2000.
