From Victoriaville, Quebec and dated 1944. Pine, metal, cloth. A well carved model of a horse and farm wagon. Painted red. The top platform of the wagon is detachable and has carved inscriptions to the top and underside. It is also carved or stamped with flowers, stars and a maple leaf. The horse is painted white with cloth harness. The wagon is signed "Claude Bonenfant" on top. Also signed "1944 Theode Desilets Age 86 1944 Victoriaville Quebec" underneath. The two metal plaques attached read, "Theode Desiets, Fabricant de Corbillards de Cata...ques et de Sculpture en bois, Victoriavill, P.Q." Good condition. Minor paint wear. 31(L) x 11(H) x 9(W)".
