Description
North American. Ca:1930. Made of softwood, carved and painted. This small dresser box was made from recycled packing boxes from the Sunsweet Apricot Growers Inc co-op based in California. The box is decorated with chip carved floral and starburst designs. The front is carved in cursive script "to Clara". Green, red and gold carving on a brown stained ground. Wire nails, brass hinges. Loss to wood near hinge. Minor paint wear 9.75(H) x 13.5(L) x 11.25(D)". From the Jim Fleming Collection. $300/500.
