Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Ca: 1850. Ash sides, pine top and base, forged tacks. Splint box retains its historic red and yellow paint finish. Stepped single finger joint to the sides, secured with forged iron tacks. Old note inside indicates it was found in the oldest house in Maitland, NS. Some loss to the splint sides at top and base. Hole drilled in top. 11.5(L) x 8.5(W) x 3.5(H)". Ex. Robert Young Collection. $400/600.
