Guelph, Ontario. Ca: 1900. Painted Pine. This painted shop sign "the Maple Leaf Grocery" originates from a Guelph, Ontario firm. Gold lettering against a textured "smaltz" black ground. Marked by maker "Dudley" in small letters at lower center. Good condition. Later white paint to reverse. 9.5(H) x 9.2in(L) x 1(D)". From the Jim Fleming Collection. $2000/3500.
