Description
Canadian. 1930s. Double sided porcelain (DSP) die cut sign. Both in proportion, subject and rarity, this sign represents the ideal in any serious petroliana collection. The sign boasts one of the greatest innovations of the 20th Century: Henry Ford's own V8 engine. The porcelain surface is vibrant (no sun fading or dullness) and the fragile "V" tip is simply undisturbed. Exhibits minor porcelain losses from extreme edges and surrounding the mounting holes. A very minor patch of loss exists within the lower half of the "O" in "Ford" on one side. 35.25" x 28".
