A dramatically posed early 20th century verdigris patinated bronze sculpture of a female dancer. The slender female nude figure shown standing on one foot, her back arched while drawing a panelled scarf cascading over her, mounted upon a squared base and raised overall upon a striated black marble base, the underside lined with green baize. Signed in the mold, Janli. Janli was a pseudonym used by French Art Deco sculptor Jean Lemoine, who designed several works for Le Verrier foundry. From the Jack Reingold Collection.
