Naive landscape painting depicting a river scene with wooden bridge. Unsigned. In mid-19th century gilt frame. Oil on canvas laid to wooden backing. The name "Helen L. Dodge" is pencilled on the backing. Areas of soiling are evident over much of the canvas. Signed: "Dodge" in pencil on reverse (underneath wooden backing). Oil on canvas. c1850. 12" H x 17" W.
