Description
American redware double-handled vase, circa 1930 and attributed to Jacob Medinger (1856-1932) of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The surface covered in a heavy lead glaze over a mottled olive-green and orange ground. The applied loop handles with ridged profile and with a band of coggle wheel decoration at the shoulder and at rim. Good condition. The vase has been drilled 1/4” above the foot when converted for use as a lamp. Label found under felt base reads “American Folk Art, Sidney Gecker”. Redware base 11 x 9 x 7". CODE:LAM
