Description
Canadian. Circa 1842-1900. Features odd, fluted barrel. Marked, "J. GURD & SON / LONDON C.W. 353". 25 3/4", .45 calibre barrel. Barrel shows some light pitting and contact marks. Features unusual decorative flutes on the corners of the octagonal barrel. Walnut stock with checkered wrist shows minimal contact marks. Exhibits a short crack at the stock. Escutcheon barrel key replaced with a piece of leather. Lacking one ramrod thimble. Hole for tang site. Hammer end is chipped. German silver furniture. Exhibits a shallow hole in the top of the barrel in front of the rearsight. Lock functions, but spring is weak. Damaged nipple barrel. Don and Joyce Blyth collection. CODE:FIREA
