Description
This elusive bottle has always been considered as being one of Guelph's finest! Reed Brothers were one of only a few Ontario bottlers to use a blue transfer and, of that group, their bottles are considered to be the rarest. This two toned bottle with sloping shoulders and a slightly tapered collar top would have been fitted with a lightning stopper featuring a marked porcelain cap. There's a very fine glaze crack on the left side of the bottle starting at the base of the shoulder and travelling upwards by 1 3/8" as well as a minor stable hairline on the lip. Two tiny flakes exist on the collar where the bail had been affixed. The bottle is marked, "This Bottle Must be Returned When Empty / Reed Bros. Stone Ginger Beer. Works: Dundas Road. Guelph" 8 x 2.75" (diam). CODE:POT
