This style of open "corker" crock is often referred to as an oyster crock. Debossed, "W. A. Freeland General Grocer Palmerston". 7 x 4" (diam). A small chip (1/4" x 3/16") is out of the lip on the right side towards the back. Further down the right side, about 3" above the base, is a slight bruise (manufacturing flaw) and beneath it just under the base is a chip measuring 3/4" x 1/4". Some very fine stable hairlines exist under the base and another small manufacturing flaw is evident on the front of the crock just above the base. CODE:POT
