Debossed, "J B Martin Cash Grocer Bowmanville Ont". 6.25 x 9.5" (diam). The crock appears to have the remnants of a spur (spacer used to separate stoneware in the kiln) adhered to it just to the right of the merchant's name. The very faint squiggly lines seen in several areas on the crock all appear to have happened during the firing process and are not cracks. There's a small chip just inside the rim towards the back and a couple of flakes in the brown slip. One chip (1/2" x 1/4") is evident on the underside. CODE:POT
