A primitive black cat carved and signed by Robert McCairns (1905-1990) of Turkey Point, Ontario. McCairns lived on the north shore of Lake Erie where he made his living fishing, hunting and trapping before illness turned him to creating folk art, eventually becoming a well known sculptor of birds and animals.
