A bible box with a carved rosette at the centre surrounded by fine hatch carving and fan carved corners; the other side has a square reeded diamond panel at the centre and four fan carved corners in addition to a diamond chain perimeter. A tree of life is carved on one slide lid. The spine is also carved and has the initials MJ. Nice mellow patina, original varnished surface. Circa 1870. H: 9", L: 6.5", W: 2.25". CODE:FOL
