A Joe Sleep (1914-1978) painting of a yellow cat accompanied by two yellow and blue birds, two gold stars, a daisy and a tulip with arched rainbows on each side. Joe Sleep was from Saint John, New Brunswick, and only began painting in 1973 after a heart attack. His works are now in major private and public collections including the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Museum of History.
