A hanging rack in original surface with a white painted crest rail of two open scrolls flanking what looks like a sheaf of wheat. Green vines are painted on the hinged panel which also has a painted rolling pin along its top edge and chip carved zigzag detail along the bottom with two carved fans. An open compartment for pencils is found below. All in a nicely crackled original varnish surface. Originally used for sheet music, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Circa 1930..
