A very fanciful tramp art, two-tier wall pocket having a drawer and three spires with a dog atop each flanking spire; the centre spire is broken but the missing piece is there for re-gluing and one small piece is missing on the lower tier and one dog is missing a tail. Painted in light and dark contrasting varnish. Illustrated in Folk Art: primitive and naive art in Canada by Blake McKendry, plate 215, page 222. Simcoe County, Ontario, circa 1900.
